Mark Tami MP places charity bet on the Grand National

Mark Tami MP teamed up with Ladbrokes bookmakers to place a charity bet to the value of £50 on tomorrow’s Grand National race at Aintree.

Mark Tami visited the local Ladbrokes at Connah’s Quay Precinct to put a £25 each way bet on The Last Samurai, hopefully to raise money for a charity of his choice.

Mark Tami has chosen the charity, CLIC Sargent. CLIC Sargent helps young people who have cancer and supports their families throughout the treatment.

Mark Tami said: “The Grand National is one of those sporting events that really brings together the country as so many people tune in to watch it.

“I was pleased that Ladbrokes again gave me the opportunity to place a bet to the value of £50. And it was good to go and see the staff again in the Connah’s Quay shop.

“CLIC Sargent is a cause that is very close to my heart and hopefully with a bit of luck we can raise some money for them.

“So fingers crossed for The Last Samurai”
