Mark Tami supports the ‘No Patient Left Behind’ Pledge

Mark Tami MP recently attended Bristol-Myers Squibb and Liver4Life’s event, ‘No Patient Left Behind’. Mark Tami supported the cause and signed the pledge to improve hepatitis C diagnosis, treatment and care for patients in the South Asian community.

Mark Tami said, “The figures are very concerning. I am therefore very happy to pledge my support to the No Patient Left Behind campaign. I believe it is important that NHS services for hepatitis C are designed with South Asian patients in mind”.

Hepatitis C is more prevalent in South Asians but despite this, hepatitis C diagnosis and treatment rates remain low amongst the South Asian community due to a number of barriers including cultural stigmas.
