Mark Tami MP showing his support to Small Business Saturday UK

small businessMark Tami MP was amongst a number of special guests who welcomed the Small Business Saturday bus to Wrexham on Friday 13th. Mark Tami braved the weather and went out to show his support for this fantastic cause.

Mark Tami said; “The importance of small businesses should not be underestimated. In a society where big corporations with all their financial power dominate, more needs to be done to ensure small businesses are given the opportunity to flourish. The Small Business Saturday campaign will have such a positive impact on small businesses around the country.”

Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. The day itself takes place on the first shopping Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses. In 2015 Small Business Saturday will take place on Saturday, December 5th.

The campaign highlights 100 small businesses, one a day for the 100 days leading up to December 5th. To spread the word, its bus tour is bigger than ever this year; Wrexham being one of 31 locations it is visiting nationwide.
