Supporting Stars In Our Schools

Mark Tami MP visited Golftyn CP School on Friday to join in their Stars In Our Schools coffee morning to celebrate the work of support staff in schools.

The annual event run by UNISON recognises the important work that support staff do in our schools. School support staff help children learn, keep children safe and healthy and ensure schools run smoothly. They are the caterers, the admin staff, the finance officers, the teaching assistants, the librarians, the ICT technicians, the parent support advisers, and more.

Mark said, ‘Support staff carry out vital work in our schools, without them they just would not operate. It was a lovely coffee morning at Golftyn CP School and the cakes were delicious.’

Hundreds of schools across the UK held events ranging from school assemblies to award ceremonies with some schools even dressing up as superheroes.
