Mark Tami MP to Speak at Prestigious Medical Conference

Mark Tami MP for Alyn & Deeside has been asked to speak at the 5th Biennial Sheffield Meeting on the long term effects of cancer treatment on patients.

The Alyn & Deeside MP who is speaking at the event on Friday will be opening the Anthony Nolan session and discussing the post treatment experience that his son had following on from his treatment for Leukaemia

Mark Tami MP said, ‘I am delighted to be able to speak at this event with a number of dignitaries from the world of medicine.

‘I know from personal experience and my work as an MP that the impact cancer has isn’t over once treatment has been completed and that there can be long lasting effects not only for the patient but also the whole family. It is therefore an honour to speak at this prestigious event which will raise the awareness of the long term impact of cancer treatment.’

The event which is taking place on Friday 13th June will bring together a number of cancer charities and specialist doctors to discuss the long lasting effects of treatment.
