Mark Tami MP meets new Area Manager for Wales from top Armed Forces welfare provider

Not Just NovemberMark Tami MP for Alyn and Deeside has met with the new Legion Area Manager for Wales, Phil Jones to discuss the importance of remembering the work of the British Legion all year round, not just in November.

Mark Tami MP said, “I was really pleased to meet the new Area Manager for Wales and the Legion volunteers Samantha Bowen and Andy Davies. The work carried out by The Royal British Legion which includes providing assistance for both members and former members of the armed services who have been injured or are struggling in other ways takes places 365 days a year.”

The Royal British Legion provides care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces, past and present, and their families. That care and support can come in many forms, whether it be direct financial aid; benefits and money advice; adventure holidays in the UK for Armed Forces families who need a break; or helping an elderly or disabled veteran with a trusted handyman facility to help with odd-jobs in the home.

Phil Jones, the Legion’s Area Manager for Wales, said, “We were delighted to welcome Mark Tami to our event. We really appreciated him making the time to drop in. Many people don’t realise the work the Legion does locally to support the Serving and ex-Service communities, plus their families, so we were delighted to tell him about the range of services we provide.”
