Mark Hosts Litter Picking Session

Mark Tami has held the first of his litter picking sessions in Sealand.

Mr Tami was helped by volunteers, who cleaned up the community playing field and housing estates.

He said: “It was great to have the help of local councillors and community support officers. We need to keep on top of litter in all our communities and this spring I will be organising similar efforts in several towns and villages.”

Sealand County Councillor Chris Jones added: “We have regular blitzes in the community to stop the area from being strewn with litter and this session definitely helped. Flintshire Neighbourhood Services and the Probation Team work hard to clean up our communities, but everyone can help by putting litter in bins instead of dropping it on pavements.”
