Mark welcomes Welsh No 10 website

Alyn & Deeside MP Mark Tami has welcomed the launch of a Welsh language version of the Prime Minister’s website.

Mr Tami said Gordon Brown’s new Welsh website showed the prime Minister’s commitment to the development of the language.

He added: “This is a fantastic service for Welsh speakers and I am pleased that he has moved so quick in developing a Welsh Number 10 website so soon after taking office.

“People can visit the Prime Minister’s site at www.pm.gov.uk and can choose between English and Welsh versions.”

Judging over in card competition

Judging has taken place to find the official design for MP Mark Tami and AM Carl Sargeant’s joint Christmas card.

Mr Tami and Mr Sargeant said the design would be revealed at a prize-giving ceremony in December at Toyota Manufacturing and that the standard of entries was higher than ever.
Mr Tami said: “We are delighted with the winning design, which is incredibly colourful and create.

"We are also proud of the fact that more than 1,000 children have entered the competition. I am sure the award ceremony will be a great occasion."

Mr Sargeant added: "We have been hugely impressed by the standard of this year's designs. It was a very difficult decision to make in picking the winner, which is a delightful picture."

Schools will be informed next week of the pupils who have been selected to attend the prize winning ceremony, which is due to be held on December 7th.
